Reposting this quote by Senator Bernie Sanders because truly, this project has been initiated with an appropriate Environmental Impact Statement (EIS, it exists!) and without the consultation of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. It’s a disgrace that people must fight this hard to overcome the greediness of the government. Even more of a disgrace that science behind it is totally shamed and not taken seriously. Furthermore, it’s a real disgrace that we aren’t giving the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe the opportunity to protect their sacred lands. I stand in solidarity with Standing Rock. #NoDAPL!
